WASHINGTON, DC – The American Edge Project (AEP), a coalition of two dozen domestic organizations, today announced that Doug Kelly will join the coalition as Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned business transformation leader, Kelly brings decades of experience and expertise to the newly formed CEO role. Kelly’s career spans the highest levels of American politics and nonprofit management. Prior to joining AEP, Kelly held executive leadership roles for national and state Democratic party organizations, as well serving as President and CEO of America’s largest Make-A-Wish chapter. In his capacity as AEP’s CEO, Kelly will work in close collaboration with the Project’s bipartisan team of directors and co-chairs who comprise the economic, national security, and open and accessible internet advisory boards.

“As a Midwest native, my passion to protect our domestic tech innovators is rooted in my front row seat to the ramifications of poor policy decisions that sent America’s manufacturing jobs overseas,” said Doug Kelly. “Investing in and strengthening our country’s tech edge is critical so that harmful policies don’t duplicate the damage caused to our manufacturing base over the past two decades. The American Edge Project has swiftly attained distinction as it advocates for a smart policy approach that strengthens our country’s capacity to innovate. I am proud to join AEP’s growing team in supporting the innovators who underpin America’s economy, national security, and exchange of free expression.”
