WASHINGTON, DC – The American Edge Project (AEP), a coalition of two dozen domestic organizations, today launched a new ad campaign calling on the recently convened 118th Congress to focus their attention on the issues that are top of mind for the American people – such as fighting inflation, creating jobs, and growing our economy – rather than pursuing misguided policies that will weaken American innovation and technology.

This comes after AEP released a new toolkit outlining the importance of supporting and strengthening American technological innovation and pursuing smart policy solutions that strengthen America’s ability to compete on the global stage.

“With American families facing a host of pressing economic challenges, it is imperative that the 118th Congress focus on addressing inflation, strengthening our economy, and creating new, good-paying jobs.” said Doug Kelly, CEO of American Edge. “Now is not the time to pursue misguided policies that will undermine the American technology and innovation that serves as the backbone of our national security and foundation of our economic prosperity.”

“As a new Congress convenes, lawmakers have the opportunity to address the issues Americans really care about:

  • Fighting inflation;

  • Strengthening our economy;

  • Creating new, good-paying jobs;

  • And ensuring the U.S. remains globally competitive.

“Now is not the time for misguided policies that will weaken America’s tech innovators.

“Taking the wrong steps will empower China, hurt consumers, and undermine our economic and national security.

“Congress needs to strengthen, not weaken, the American economy.”
