WASHINGTON, DC – The American Edge Project, a coalition of two dozen domestic organizations, today launched a new ad, “America Must Win,” emphasizing the critical importance of American leadership in artificial intelligence development and the economic consequences of falling behind global competitors.

The ad highlights how U.S. leadership in both open- and closed-source AI models strengthens small businesses, creates jobs, and solidifies our technological edge on the world stage. It goes on to warn that if Washington impedes America’s innovators through restrictive policies, China will gain a significant global economic and geopolitical advantage.

“Artificial intelligence is a foundational innovation that will play a critical role in defining economic and geopolitical leadership for decades to come,” said Doug Kelly, CEO of the American Edge Project. “It’s vital that our policymakers seize this opportunity and create an environment that encourages American innovation rather than hindering it. We must be clear eyed about our mission: America must lead, America must innovate, and America must win.”
