Spotlights the Crucial Role of American Technology for Small Businesses

WASHINGTON, DC — The American Edge Project, a coalition of two dozen domestic organizations, launched “James,” a new ad highlighting the vital role of American technology in empowering small businesses.

The spot features a local pharmacy that relies on American technology to fill prescriptions, process insurance claims, and make deliveries more effectively. It goes on to emphasize the threat posed by policies aimed at undermining the technology tools that small businesses rely on, warning that such an agenda will empower foreign adversaries and hurt local businesses.

“The story of James’ pharmacy underscores how American innovation supports the very small businesses that have been serving our communities for generations,” said Doug Kelly, CEO of the American Edge Project. “Misguided policies that weaken American technology will not only hurt these businesses but also empower our foreign adversaries, namely China. It is essential that our leaders pursue smart policies that strengthen American technology and enable businesses of all sizes to grow and thrive.”

“Our pharmacy has been in business for nearly 100 years.

“My wife and I have run it for the last 30.

“American technology is making us more efficient and customer friendly.

“We use online tools to fill prescriptions, process insurance claims and make deliveries.

“But some in Washington want to undermine the technology tools we rely on.

“Their misguided agenda will empower our foreign adversaries and hurt small businesses like ours.

“Our leaders need to strengthen, not weaken, American technology.
